They are german cockroaches brought in by the neighbors last semester (college housing). the handyman said he thought he had taken care of the problem when they left but seems like they hung around. He bug bombed the place (one of the 8 apartments) which killed a few of them but did little to nothing as there are more and they are spreading throughout the place.
I had the county health-department guy come by today and took a report of it as the rental agency is doing a very bad job of getting back to me and i wanted to see what he would say.
The cockroaches are not terrible as they all seem to hide but there has to be a bunch in the apartment.
How bad of a health violation is this and how long should i give the rental agency till i really snap and threaten them that i have talked to the health department? any other good steps to take?
I am in the process of writing a formal letter to the rental agency about the problems and the bugs. they have refused to call me back of 2 occasions and so am at the end of my wits with them. I have been living at a friend’s place for the past 5 days because of this.
