I Am Looking for anti virus software that offers free trials and works as accurately as norton finding all the problems and deleteing all the cookies. I Have tried avast and was not impressed it didnt seem like it was even doing anything on tracking viruses or taking care of the problems. Please Help!!!!
Basically i’m off to uni later this month and i feel it’s essential to have anti virus software, do i just use the Anti virus software CD i got several years back or download off their website?

I just bought a used computer
it’s a 2003 windows XP pro
i keep getting reminders at each start up that my anti-virus software may be out of date
the software is: Avast
But i read online if you have more than one virus software it can be bad for your computer,
so how do i update avast?
do i uninstall it and the download a new version? or what?
Where? I used to use AVG, but now it says i have to pay for it. So i uninstalled it, tried to reinstall, and it says i still have to pay if i want to keep it. What’s oging on here? Can someone give me a link to a free anti virus software?

I have a virus on my computer that I keep trying to get rid of. Every time I download anti-virus software, it won’t properly install because the virus keeps attacking the files and telling me they are infected and not able to be opened.
